“That’s Flicka!” Bella exclaims.

We hurry outside. Flicka immediately flies over and lands on my arm. She flaps her wings and tweets excitedly. I wish I could understand her, but I’m not a fairy today. All I hear are tweets and chirps.

“We could really use a fairy right about now,” Bella says.

Oddly, even though Flicka is perched on my arm, she’s not looking at me—she’s looking at Finn. She chirps a few times, then stops and stares at him. Finn takes a step towards me and removes a small piece of paper from around Flicka’s leg.

That’s when I hear a sweet voice say, “Why haven’t you told Anna and Bella? They’d understand.”

I look around at my friends. “Tell us what?” I ask.

“Nobody said anything,” Bella answers, giving me a puzzled look.

I believe Bella, but I’m sure I heard our names. I’m also sure that I’ve heard that sweet voice before. But where?

Finn unrolls the paper and begins to read:
